Overview
Furniture Connect’s AI Studio has nine tools, each designed for a different task. Choosing the right tool before you start will save you time and credits. Below is a summary of what each one does and when to use it.
Edit with Text
Describe changes using natural language. This is the most powerful and flexible tool in the AI Studio. You write a text prompt describing what you want: create lifestyle scenes, swap fabrics, replace props, adjust lighting, add depth of field, and much more. You have full control over every detail of the output.
Best for: creating custom lifestyle images, building specific scenes, replacing objects, fabric and material swaps, adding depth of field, fixing text, and any task where you need precise creative control.
This is the tool covered by all of our detailed prompting guides. If you’re unsure which tool to use, start here.
Product Staging
Place products in beautifully styled interior settings. Product Staging offers a curated set of preset showroom styles: including Minimalist Modern, Warm Contemporary, Organic Modern, Modern Farmhouse, Artisan, and Wabi-Sabi. Upload your product image, choose a style, select the image size, and generate. It’s the fastest way to get a lifestyle image without writing a prompt.
Best for: quickly generating styled product shots when you don’t need fine-grained control over the scene. Great for bulk content creation or when you’re happy to work within the preset styles.
Note: Product Staging does not offer the same level of control as Edit with Text. You cannot specify wall colours, lighting direction, props, or detailed scene composition: the AI chooses these based on the preset style you select. If you need a specific scene, use Edit with Text instead.
Remove Background
Cleanly removes the background from a product photo, leaving you with a transparent or white cutout of the product. This is useful as a standalone tool for catalogue images or as a preparation step before using Edit with Text or Product Staging.
Best for: creating clean product cutouts for catalogues, websites, or marketplaces. Also useful for preparing images before placing them into custom scenes with Edit with Text.
Note: if the results of the remove background are poor our customers use other products like remove.bg or canva
Upscale Image
Increases the resolution of your image using AI upscaling. Use this when you have a product photo that’s too low-resolution for print or high-quality web use, or when you want to sharpen up an AI-generated image after creating it.
Best for: enhancing low-resolution product photos, preparing images for print catalogues or large-format displays, and improving the quality of AI-generated outputs.
Perspective Change
Generates new views of your product from different angles. Upload a product image and the AI will create alternative perspectives: useful when you only have one product photo but need to show it from multiple viewpoints.
Best for: creating additional product angles for listings or catalogues when you only have a single product shot. Helpful for showing front, side, or three-quarter views.
This tool is currently in Alpha. Results may vary, and complex products with intricate details may require some iteration.
Generate Image
Creates entirely new images from a text description alone: no product photo required. Use this when you need to generate room scenes, mood boards, or conceptual images from scratch.
Best for: creating room mockups, mood boards, or scene concepts before placing a specific product. Also useful for generating reference images that you can then use as style guides in Edit with Text.
Image to Video
Takes a still product image or lifestyle scene and transforms it into a short cinematic video clip. Adds subtle motion, camera movement, or ambient animation to bring your product photography to life.
Best for: creating social media content, product teasers, and animated hero banners for websites. Turns static lifestyle shots into engaging video content.
This tool is currently in Alpha. Best results come from high-quality input images with clear subjects.
Carousel
Automatically generates a set of images showing your product from multiple angles in a single run. Instead of manually creating each view, the Carousel tool produces a cohesive set of product images ready for e-commerce listings.
Best for: building product listings that require multiple views, creating consistent sets of product images for marketplaces, and generating gallery-ready content quickly.
This tool is currently in Alpha. Works best with clearly defined, standalone products.
Product Highlights
Creates close-up or detail shots that highlight specific features of your product: such as stitching, wood grain, hardware, or fabric texture. Useful for showcasing quality and craftsmanship in your product imagery.
Best for: creating detail shots for product pages, showcasing material quality, and highlighting unique design features like handles, joints, or upholstery work.
